"After being with Blain Brown's office for less than ten months I decided to switch away since his employee could not give an accurate quote for auto insurance. I called the office and spoke to Caren and asked for an insurance quote for an specific automobile with the VIN number, I was quoted a price and purchased the car based on the quote, less than two weeks later I call to bind the policy and find out that the quote was wrong and it will now cost me about twice as much as I was quoted, note the quote was in writing. I was then informed that their ex employee made a mistake and that they were sorry but that there is nothing that they can do about it as the policy amount is set by State Farm and can not be changed, nor can they cover the difference in what they quoted me to what I am being charged. I filed a complaint with the State of Utah Insurance Commissioner and was told that they are correct, they can not change the cost of the policy nor can they reimburse me for their error, in essence tough luck. So my suggestion is do NOT depend on their office for an accurate quote, they can not be held to a quote that is wrong and there is nothing that you can do about it other than move your policy to a different office, which is what I did. Wish I never switched to Blain Brown's office."
